The stiffness of masonry infill walls is commonly neglected in design practice Reinforced Concrete (RC) structures. In fact, the wall may significantly influence seismic performance and dynamic behavior RC buildings. this research, to structural a three-story frame investigated. addition, possible application friction-based support also studied. Full 3D non-linear time history analysis conducted observe structure under two-directional ground motion. analysis, any failed elements are removed subsequently from model avoid numerical problem. result shows that placement can structure. Inappropriate lead building undergo soft-story mechanism. It found use effectively improve building.
